The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary
Reporting to a QA Laboratory Supervisor, the Analytical Chemist plays an important role in the quality assurance process for Zinpro Corporation. By providing technical laboratory analysis for each phase of the product cycle, including product development, research trials, finished product, and final feed samples, the Analytical Chemist ensures the safety and efficacy of Zinpro's product lines. Success in this position will require a strong attention to detail, an aptitude for problem solving, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to perform chemical analysis via instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, or ICP.
Essential Functions
- Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory analysis according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate quality assurance approval of finished products.
- Maintain accurate and current SOPs to reflect continuous method improvements as well as new method development or validations.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving analytical problems.
- Investigate product and process deviations to identify root cause and develop corrective and preventative actions.
- Support R&D or other departments through routine or novel analysis of feed and research samples
- Support all laboratory personnel with routine laboratory procedures such as sample preparation, solvent and buffer preparations, or sample dilutions.
- Contribute to a safety-first laboratory culture by following all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, performing troubleshooting or repairs as needed
- Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits and investigate and respond to customer complaints.
- Maintain an organized and efficient laboratory by assisting with inventory and sample management.
- Help clean lab equipment and glassware and stock in organized fashion.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements (such as ISO or FAMI-QS) through accurate documentation and quality control procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a laboratory analytical chemist, including both sample preparation and instrument analysis, in a research, food/feed, environmental, or pharmaceutical laboratory
- Fluent in English with proven skills in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Experience with laboratory equipment such as pipettes, analytical balances, pH meters, centrifuges, sonicators, and fume hoods.
- Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications such as Word, Excel, and LIMS.
- Experience with following SOPs and working within quality system guidelines (ISO, FAMI-QS, etc.)
- Experience with performing root-cause analysis to investigate analysis or instrument issues
Preferred:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with ICP, HPLC, LC, or GC instrumentation
- Experience with method development, method validation, or method transfers
- Experience with troubleshooting or repairing analytical instruments and equipment
- Experience with microwave-assisted acid digestion, solvent extraction, or other sample preparation techniques

The individual is required to work in an analysis/research lab setting. The handling of chemicals is required, and the individual will be subjected to the potential hazards associated with the handling of those chemicals.
Schedule Requirements
Common full-time work schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, adding up to 40 hours per week or may vary as needed.
Travel Requirements
This position will not be expected to travel regularly to fulfill job duties but may travel on rare occasions to attend company events or conferences.
