Job Title: Audiology Technician

Location: Goodyear, AZ

Hours & Schedule: Normal Business Hours

Work Environment: The primary work location is a general clinical office environment with typical office noise levels.

Salary / Hourly Rate: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Audiology Technician supports Audiologists by performing delegated audiology-related tasks. This role provides technical assistance to patients, including troubleshooting hearing instruments and assistive listening devices, while ensuring a high level of patient care across all age groups from neonate to geriatric populations. The Audiology Technician also maintains strong relationships with patients, vendors, and clinical staff.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support Audiologists in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and clinical protocols
  • Perform hearing screenings and prepare patients for diagnostic testing
  • Prepare and sanitize exam rooms between patient visits and ensure adequate supply levels
  • Document patient encounters and assist with report preparation
  • Educate patients on the proper use and care of hearing aids and assistive devices
  • Power down and maintain clinical equipment at the end of each day
  • Track equipment and supply orders to ensure timely availability for patient appointments
  • Maintain accurate clinic records related to hearing aids, earmolds, repairs, and inventory
  • Provide technical support to patients experiencing issues with hearing devices
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations

Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an audiology or ENT clinic preferred
  • Experience with hearing aids and dispensing programs preferred
  • Working knowledge of the auditory system and auditory rehabilitation
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and medical terminology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and clinic needs
