Nexagen Networks continues expanding its cleared operations footprint while supporting the United States Army and Joint missions across secure facilities. We are growing our team of cleared professionals across cybersecurity, engineering, and mission-critical disciplines.
As an Information Security Engineer, you will assist Information Systems Security Managers (ISSMs) in executing their duties and responsibilities while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements. You will support the full lifecycle of Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity activities, ensuring secure system development, integration, and operation within classified and controlled environments.
• Assist ISSMs in meeting assigned cybersecurity duties and responsibilities.
• Implement and enforce all DoD Information Systems (IS) and Platform IT (PIT) cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Ensure users possess required security clearances and access authorizations prior to granting system access.
• Initiate protective or corrective measures, in coordination with the ISSM, when cybersecurity incidents or vulnerabilities are identified.
• Review and analyze technical reports, including static code analysis, penetration testing results, and vulnerability scanning outputs.
• Audit documentation, processes, and organizational structures for potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
• Maintain current, accurate, and accessible DoD IS cybersecurity documentation for authorized personnel.
• Minimum of seven years of experience executing lifecycle Information Assurance / Cybersecurity activities.
• Seven years of progressively complex experience in the development, integration, and implementation of cybersecurity and program protection standards for networking, computers, and custom application development.
• DoDM 8140.03 – Work Role Code 722 (Information Systems Security Manager) Advanced Level required.
• Certification in CISM, CISSO, CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCIH, GCSA, GICSP, or GSLC preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering preferred.
