Red Bull inspires and empowers both individuals and ideas. In this role, the Athlete Marketing Manager (AMM) plays a vital part in helping athletes excel in their sport and achieve their aspirations. The responsibility of the AMM is to embody and represent the global Red Bull brand at the regional level through athletes, athlete-driven projects, and targeted athlete marketing strategies. The Athlete Marketing Manager will strengthen the brand’s presence by utilizing branded athletes and product placement opportunities as tools to expand Red Bull's consumer market while establishing distinct brand differentiation. Furthermore, the AMM must possess strategic insight and operational expertise to extend the impact of managed athletes beyond the regional scope, utilizing their influence on a national and global scale.

Job Description



ATHLETE MARKETING

Collaborate with the Regional Marketing and National Athlete Marketing teams to develop a strategic athlete marketing plan for athletes within your region and focus areas.

Set individual goals and desired outcomes for each athlete, ensuring alignment with both international and national sports marketing strategies.

Identify and recruit emerging talent, proactively ensuring that top U.S. athletes are monitored and positioned to join the roster.

Design tailored marketing, communication, and performance plans for each managed athlete.

Ensure that each managed athlete and the broader network of opinion leaders have a comprehensive understanding of product efficacy and communication principles.

Deliver personalized branding solutions for each athlete, driving consistent innovation in design, visibility, and execution.

Negotiate athlete agreements and contracts encompassing performance expectations, goals, retainers, bonuses, branding rights, availability, schedules, and usage rights.

Develop and implement innovative, groundbreaking athlete projects that showcase both the athlete’s personality and the brand identity, while achieving impactful consumer outcomes.

Leverage national and international athlete assets to deliver targeted results and meaningful engagement within your region or designated focus areas.

Coordinate with internal teams—including communications, digital, and Red Bull Media House—to amplify athlete stories and product messaging through external channels.

Maximize the presence of international athletes who travel or compete within the region to create additional impact.

Work in partnership with the Regional Sports Marketing and Sports Event Marketing teams to foster a genuine connection between local athletes and the brand.

Collaborate with athletes’ trusted networks and partners to create opportunities that further extend product and brand messaging.

Support athletes in bringing their project concepts to life, providing oversight of workflows, budgets, operations, scheduling, cross-functional team meetings, stakeholder management, and content creation.

ATHLETE PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Facilitate goal-setting, planning, and performance management for each athlete under management.

Monitor, evaluate, and manage performance and marketing objectives with each athlete on a biannual basis.

Assess and evaluate each managed athlete's career strategy and professional environment, including their trainers, coaches, agents, family, interactions with team managers, training terrain, seasonal adjustments, equipment, and innovations.

Incorporate appropriate and innovative performance solutions into each athlete's program.

Ensure each managed athlete has a thorough understanding of product usage and brand representation.

Establish realistic performance benchmarks for the duration of each athlete's agreement and continually monitor and evaluate progress.

Identify and assess performance challenges faced by athletes, and recommend solutions or potential termination strategies when necessary.

DAY TO DAY ADMINISTRATION

Collaborate and work within a team environment alongside other members of the sports and marketing teams.

Take ownership of and manage assigned athlete projects, including their associated budgets.

Assist the region's Sports Marketing Manager and team, as well as the HQ Director of Athlete Marketing, in developing annual business plans.

Qualifications



A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in sports marketing

Comprehensive knowledge of sports management and the sports industry

Outstanding communication skills, including expertise in training and delivering presentations

Demonstrated success in planning, organizational abilities, and project management

Strategic and creative mindset

Willingness to embrace new environments, ideas, processes, innovations, and opportunities

Entrepreneurial mindset with an autonomous, self-driven approach focused on achieving results and meeting consumer needs

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $85,360 - 128,040 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
