Our client, a local insurance agency, is well-established and specializing in homeowners, flood, dwelling, fire, and commercial insurance. With a strong focus on customer service and policy renewals, they are seeking a dedicated Office Assistant to support their team. Job Description:

As an Office Assistant , you will work closely with the agency's team to assist in the administration of insurance policy renewals and provide support with general office tasks. This role involves maintaining accurate client records, handling renewals for various insurance policies, and supporting the office with other clerical duties as needed.

  • Renewal Assistance: Help process renewals for homeowners insurance, flood, dwelling, fire, and commercial insurance policies.
  • Client Communication: Assist in communicating with clients about policy renewals, updates, and any changes to their coverage.
  • Document Management: Ensure client files are up to date and organized. Process and file paperwork promptly.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general office support including answering phones, scheduling, and assisting with client inquiries.
  • Data Entry: Accurately input client information and policy data into the agency’s systems.
  • Collaboration: Work with the insurance agents to ensure smooth handling of policies and provide support to clients.

Requirements

  • Prior office or administrative experience preferred, especially in the insurance field.
  • Familiarity with homeowners, flood, dwelling, fire, and commercial insurance policies is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance industry experience or knowledge of policy renewal processes.
  • Insurance licensing (or willingness to obtain).
