Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our financial operations. As a PT Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the integrity of our organization’s financial data. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry and transaction recording using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and ledger entries. Prepare and process journal entries for various accounts, including debits and credits, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist in balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial statements. Handle accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online; experience with GAAP standards is essential. Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to perform 10-key typing accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll procedures. Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and write concise financial reports. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors as needed.
