**The Role**
We're looking for a Procurement Specialist to own packaging and materials end-to-end. Your mission: keep the right materials in the right places, at the right time and cost, with no preventable emergencies.
This is a hands-on, spreadsheet-heavy role. No ERP. You'll operate and improve Google Sheets trackers and playbooks that need to be accurate, clean, and ready for anyone to pick up.
**What You'll Do**
* Maintain par levels and weeks-of-cover for packaging SKUs (liners, ice packs, corrugate, jars, lids, labels, inserts) across HQ and 3PL
* Place weekly and monthly POs on a clear cadence with accurate lead times
* Track inbound shipments and reconcile receipts with POs and vendor packing lists
* Coordinate with warehouse and 3PL partners on pallet counts, storage, and accessorial fees
* Maintain a live packaging cost model — cost per order and per box — weekly
* Benchmark top SKUs twice yearly, run RFQs, and build landed-cost comparisons
* Manage blanket POs and pallet-based storage to avoid dead inventory
* Keep the procurement playbook up to date — documentation a new hire can follow
* Send a short daily written update on orders, arrivals, issues, and upcoming risks
**You're a Great Fit If You**
* Have 2–4 years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain — packaging or perishable exposure preferred
* Are strong in Google Sheets or Excel and comfortable without an ERP
* Are calm, structured, and reliable — you love checklists and catching issues early
* Communicate directly and clearly in writing
* Are curious about how procurement decisions roll up into COGS and margin
