Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Data/BI Analyst to drive insights across HR, Finance, and Governance domains on a modern AWS-based data platform. This role will focus on translating complex data into actionable intelligence, supporting business decision-making, and ensuring data integrity across enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret data across HR, Finance, and Governance domains to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key business metrics (e.g., workforce analytics, financial performance, compliance indicators)
Partner with business stakeholders (HR, Finance, Risk/Compliance teams) to define KPIs and reporting requirements
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from platforms such as Redshift and Athena
Perform data validation and reconciliation across legacy and modern systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data models, business logic, and transformation requirements
Leverage governed datasets and metadata tools (Atlan or similar) for data discovery, lineage, and compliance reporting
Implement and monitor data quality checks using tools like Soda or SQL-based frameworks
Conduct root cause analysis on data discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvement
Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable format
Required Qualifications
6 8+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles
Strong SQL skills with experience working on large-scale datasets
Experience analyzing HR (workforce), Finance (revenue, cost), and Governance (compliance, audit) data domains
Hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, etc.)
Familiarity with AWS data ecosystem (Redshift, S3, Athena)
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling preferred)
Experience with data governance and catalog tools (Atlan, Collibra, or Alation)
Exposure to data quality and validation practices (Soda or equivalent)
Basic Python skills for data analysis are a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business and executive stakeholders
