seoClarity is looking to surface an Enterprise  Senior Technical SEO Analyst who knows that the most valuable insights in SEO rarely sit at the top of a report. Based in our Downtown Chicago office, this role sits at the intersection of technical SEO strategy, enterprise data analysis, and client-facing consultation. seoClarity is the technology leader in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) marketing analytics, and our technology platform and services help the world’s biggest brands optimize their websites so they can be discovered, trusted, and chosen by their customers.

Sr. Technical SEO Analyst (Chicago-based) Perks & Benefits

Sr. Technical SEO Analyst (Chicago-based) Required Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools with the ability to organize, interpret, and synthesize large datasets.
• Working knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sufficient to understand how websites are built and where technical SEO issues can arise. This role does not require software development experience, but candidates should be comfortable reading and interpreting code.
• Experience working with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar tools.
• Strong familiarity with technical SEO initiatives such as site migrations, CMS migrations, template updates, internal linking architecture, canonicalization, rendering challenges, and indexation management.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, or AI-assisted analysis tools is a plus, particularly in environments where large datasets require deeper exploration.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.

Sr. Technical SEO Analyst (Chicago-based) Requirements

• 5+ years of employment experience in SEO, with a strong emphasis on technical SEO analysis for large or complex websites.
• Proven experience diagnosing technical SEO challenges by analyzing multiple data sources and identifying patterns beyond what automated SEO tools surface.
• Experience analyzing large, complex websites (thousands to millions of URLs) and identifying technical patterns that affect crawling, indexation, internal linking, and overall site architecture.
• Strong understanding of how search engines crawl, render, index, and rank web content, along with the technical factors that influence those processes.
• Experience working with multiple SEO data sources including crawl data, server logs, analytics platforms, and search performance data to uncover insights and diagnose root causes.
• Ability to translate complex technical SEO insights into clear, actionable recommendations and confidently communicate those findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale organizations, either in-house, through a technical SEO agency, or within an enterprise SEO platform environment.
• Strong analytical thinking and investigative instincts, with the ability to form hypotheses, diagnose complex technical challenges, and prioritize recommendations based on likely impact.

Sr. Technical SEO Analyst (Chicago-based) Responsibilities

• Own the technical SEO advisory relationship for a portfolio of enterprise clients using seoClarity’s Clarity360 platform, serving as a trusted analytical partner who uncovers insights and guides technical SEO decision-making.
• Investigate complex SEO challenges by analyzing multiple data sources (crawl data, server logs, analytics platforms, and search performance data) to diagnose root causes and uncover insights that extend beyond automated platform reporting.
• Translate technical findings into clear, prioritized recommendations that clients can take to development, content, or digital teams for implementation.
• Lead recurring client conversations to present analysis, explain technical insights, answer questions, and guide stakeholders through the impact and rationale behind recommendations.
• Help clients understand not only what changes are needed, but why they matter and how they support broader organic search performance and business outcomes.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for clients to improve technical SEO performance across large, complex website environments.
• Contribute to the evolution of internal workflows and analytical approaches by identifying new methods for uncovering insights and improving the value delivered to clients.
• Identify recurring technical challenges or analytical gaps that could inform future platform improvements or enhancements within seoClarity’s product ecosystem.
