Objetives:
The Tax Preparer must have proven experience in income tax return preparation and client support. Tax preparers should ensure confidentiality, provide excellent service to promote repeat business, and provide future tax planning to clients. The Tax Preparer will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, while managing multiple deadlines.
Essential Functions:
· Prepare personal, corporate, partnership, estate/trust, and other income tax returns.
· Analyze client-provided financial documents and supporting records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
· Compile, organize, and summarize financial data for appropriate tax return schedules.
· Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify tax-related matters.
· Maintain detailed and well-documented work papers to support tax return filings.
· Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulatory requirements.
· Meet strict filing deadlines and manage workload efficiently during high-volume periods.
· Provide professional and responsive client service.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
· Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Quickbooks
· Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Bookkeeping
· Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Tax Returns
· Demonstrates expert knowledge of firm policies, accounting standards & regulations.
· Possesses exemplary analytical skills, time-management, and problem-solving skills
· You must know how to operate tax software (experience in Drake is preferred), as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard business software products.
· Possesses excellent verbal, written, communication and collaboration skills.
Work Environment:
· This position is in a CPA office environment, which may at times include a fast-paced work atmosphere, frequent phone calls and elevated noise levels.
· Shift: Monday To Friday
· The use of common office machinery and equipment is commonplace, and may include occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, bending, and kneeling may be required.
· Long periods of sitting, and occasional standing and walking required and may involve climbing stairs and/or walking up inclines.
· Position may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
· Non-smoking environment
