Overview
Medical Social Worker (MSW) – Travel in Everett, WA. Start date 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,681–$1,831 per week. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks. Shift: 5x8 Days. Setting: inpatient care at a Level II trauma center serving adults and geriatrics across two campuses.

Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments for adult and geriatric patients; determine discharge planning and care coordination needs; develop patient-centered care plans with the care team
- Facilitate discharge planning and care transitions to home, rehab, or long-term care; coordinate referrals to community resources
- Document assessments, plans, and progress in EPIC; maintain privacy and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Pharmacy, Transportation, Interpretation, Social Services) and participate in rounds
- Manage complex psychosocial issues and provide counseling and family support; respond to social work consults
- May float across units and a sister campus as needed; weekend coverage every other weekend; holiday coverage (3 of 5 holidays)

Requirements
- Active Washington social work license (LICSW, LSWAIC, LASW, LSWAA) or in-hand licensure accepted at submittal
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care, discharge planning / care coordination; strong preference for case management across Med-Surg, LLOS, ED
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical record
- Ability to work in an inpatient Level II trauma center environment; willingness to float to nearby campus
- Weekend rotation required; holiday coverage (3 of 5 holidays)
