Job Title: Welding Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL (Relocation Provided)
Duration: Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Welding Engineer will develop and optimize welding processes to support metal fabrication and manufacturing operations while ensuring quality, safety, and customer specifications are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support GMAW, GTAW, and RSW welding processes .
Set weld parameters, perform testing, and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and weld specifications .
Support production with troubleshooting and continuous improvement .
Assist with robotic welding programming (Fanuc preferred) .
Participate in DOE, PFMEA, and new product launch activities .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and vendors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Engineering with 7+ years experience or Master's with 3+ years .
Experience with GMAW and RSW required ; GTAW, laser welding, or cutting preferred .
Familiar with weld testing, measurement tools, and robotic welding systems .
Proficient in Microsoft Office .
Travel up to 10% .
