Duties: Prepare compounded medications accurately following prescriptions, ensuring all formulations meet safety and quality standards. Maintain a sterile environment by applying aseptic techniques during IV infusion preparation and other sterile compounding procedures. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, reviewing medical records, and providing clear communication about medication instructions. Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring proper storage and timely reordering of ingredients and materials. Ensure adherence to hospital protocols for acute care and critical care medication preparation, including medication administration support when needed. Document all compounding activities meticulously, including batch records and quality control checks, to uphold compliance standards. Requirements: Proven experience as a pharmacy technician with a focus on compounding or LTC pharmacy environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and aseptic techniques.
