Now Hiring - Servers at Extra Wavy in Lafayette Square / Downtown West neighborhood. Extra Wavy is a new, locally owned restaurant, opening in September 2025. Extra Wavy is a raw bar and american restaurant with nods to east coast oyster bar and fish houses, with many coastal influences and ingredients.

We are looking for experienced, hard working, team oriented Servers. We have health insurance and benefits available to full time employees (also dental and life insurances available). The right person will be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, while still focusing on hospitality and customer service. Our restaurant group also owns and operates the restaurant Yellowbelly and cocktail bar Lazy Tiger in the Central West End.

Requirements:

• A person with a great attitude and work ethic, and gets along with co-workers
• Must be friendly, and focused on hospitality towards guests
• Must be Available to work Nights (dinner shifts) and Weekends. We are open for dinner Tues-Sat nights, and Saturday brunch.
• Proven experience as a Server / Waiter / Waitress in a fast-paced, high quality food environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus (rum and classic cocktail knowledge is a plus!)
• Must be atleast 18 years old
• Nights and Weekend availability are required.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and take their orders promptly and accurately
• Provide menu recommendations and answer questions knowledgeably
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
• Check on customers to ensure satisfaction
• Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service

We are small, locally owned Restaurant group in St. Louis. We opened our first restaurant, Retreat Gastropub in 2015. Yellowbelly opened in 2018, and we expanded with an additional cocktail bar named Lazy Tiger in 2020. When we opened, we were listed as One of the Best New Restaurants according to Sauce Magazine, Feast Magazine, Ian Froeb & St. Louis Post Dispatch, Riverfront Times, and St. Louis Magazine.

We own and operate the restaurant Yellowbelly and the cocktail bar Lazy Tiger (which is connected to Yellowbelly), both are located in the Central West End in St. Louis. Extra Wavy is our new restaurant opening Fall 2026.
