Social Media Manager

Position Overview

Debra Silverman Astrology is seeking a highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to manage the vision, implementation, and evolution of our social media presence.

This role is responsible for the daily posting and optimization of all Debra Silverman Astrology social media platforms. The ideal candidate is proactive, systems-minded, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced digital education and media environment supporting a high-visibility public figure.

This role works closely with the marketing team, and Debra directly to ensure high-quality content in Debra and DSA’s voice, consistent posting, and alignment with marketing initiatives and launches.

Core Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Content Scheduling & Posting

• Create and help curate content calendar to execute weekly and monthly posting schedule
• Development of new or refreshed assets (both graphics and videos) 
• Schedule posts, videos, and clips across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Substack and YouTube
• Assist in weekly social live organization with Debra
• Help develop templated content using Canva
• Manage ManyChat and link-in-bio platforms and update links and automations as needed
• Update banners and promotional graphics during launch periods
• Assist in building and adapting social systems for new brands (ex: Applied Astrology accounts)

Weekly Reporting

Provide weekly report to leadership including:

• Updates and wins
• Community feedback and notable conversations
• Possible issues or concerns
• Patterns or recurring audience questions
• Opportunities for new content, products, or resources
• Social media metrics and performance insights

Systems & Optimization

• Help develop efficient scheduling and posting systems
• Identify opportunities for improved workflows
• Assist in building new social accounts as brand expands
• Adapt strategy based on platform and marketing needs
• Support development of Spanish-language social presence in future phases

Additional Team Collaboration

• Understand how to be the voice of DSA through community management and support when/where needed
• Monitor live events for clippable content to be used on social media
• Connect with and support the social media teams of other influencers/public figures on collaboration, affiliate offerings, and sharing connected content (with the direction of leadership)

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years experience managing social media for a brand or public figure
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• Experience with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube
• Comfortable with high posting volume and active engagement
• Experience using Canva, video-editing platforms, and scheduling tools
• Systems-minded and proactive
• Comfortable supporting a public figure and fast-moving team
• A desire to find ways to work more efficiently and effectively without sacrificing quality
• Interest in Astrology, psychology, or personal development is a plus
